Every water source heating & cooling system has a float switch to shut off the compressor when the water from the drip pan is not draining, for the purpose of not causing a flood. However, with time these float switches can become faulty and not work. In order to prevent a water pump unit flooding your home, or you neighbor’s home, we strongly recommend having an additional safety switch installed, called a wet switch.
This little device is the size of a hockey puck (it even looks like one). The Wet Switch Flood detector can be easily installed into the existing unit without requiring any additional modifications.
Feel free to contact us about any questions that you may have with regards to scheduling an appointment, or further information on The Wet Switch Flood Detector.

- Tank Gas Water Heaters Available
- Tank Electric Water Heaters Available
Conventional water heaters store water in a tank and are available in a variety of gallon capacities. Electric or gas energy is required to maintain the water at a set temperature until a faucet is turned on and water is pulled through the pipe. A conventional electric or gas water heater should last about 11 years.
Newer conventional water heaters are more energy efficient than older models. A high-efficiency model can reduce water heating bills by about 7 percent.
A tankless water heater is generally considered more energy efficient because they heat water only as it is needed. When the tap is turned on, the heater goes to work and supplies continuous hot water. A tankless water heater often requires less space and can hang on a wall, but may require larger gas lines, special venting or additional electric circuits that add to the upfront costs. However, a tankless water heater has a life expectancy of 15-20 years and may reduce water heating bills by as much as 30 percent.
A hybrid water heater combines conventional tank storage with a heat pump that extracts heat from the air and uses it to help heat the water. A hybrid water heater uses existing water and electrical connections, and can reduce water heating costs by almost 60 percent.
Solar water heater systems use the sun’s energy to generate hot water for your home. Solar water heaters are either passive or active. Passive solar water heating systems are typically less expensive than active systems, but they're usually not as efficient. However, passive systems can be more reliable and may last longer. Active solar water heating systems utilize pumps and controls to circulate water into the home. Most solar water heating systems require a well insulated storage tank and a backup system for cloudy days and high water demand.

Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner
A Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner (often abbreviated PTAC) is a type of self-contained heating and air conditioning system commonly found in hotels, motels, senior housing facilities, hospitals, condominiums, apartment buildings, add-on rooms & sunrooms.
Many are designed to go through a wall, having vents and heat sinks both inside and outside. Different standard dimensions are found in the market including 42×16 inches (1067 x 406 mm), 36x15 inches, and 40x15 inches.
Although PTACs are used mostly to heat or cool a single living space using only electricity (with resistive and/or heat pump heating), there are cooling-only PTACs with external heating through a hydronic heating coil or natural gas heating.
Typical PTAC heating and cooling capacity values range from 2 to 5.5 kilowatts (7,000–19,000 BTU/h) nominal. One characteristic of PTACs is that condensate drain piping is not required because the condensate water extracted from the air by the evaporator coil is drawn by the condenser fan onto the condenser coil surface where it evaporates.
Conventional PTACs still require condensate drain piping to be installed.[1][2] The first practical semi-portable air conditioning unit was invented by engineers at Chrysler Motors and offered for sale starting in 1935.[3]
PTACs are commonly installed in window walls and masonry walls. Their installation typically requires the following:
Louvers -
Metal sleeve -
Heating coil -
The PTAC itself -
Room enclosure
